Arden Cline
Arden Cline is a versatile music educator and low brass specialist with experience teaching a wide range of instruments, including trombone, flute, clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, piano, and violin. Currently teaching elementary general music, Arden also has a background in band instruction and a strong track record of student success at the private lesson level.
Arden earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Shepherd University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at Hood College. Their teaching approach focuses on adapting to each student’s learning style while developing strong fundamentals, musicality, and confidence.
Many of Arden’s private lesson students have achieved placement in honor bands and the West Virginia Middle School All-State Band, reflecting a high standard of instruction and student engagement. With a passion for helping students grow as musicians and individuals, Arden is dedicated to creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment.

Owen Evans
Owen Evans is an exciting saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Portland, Oregon. He holds an M.M. in Jazz Studies from Portland State University, where he studied improvisation and composition with jazz greats George Colligan, Darrell Grant, and Tim Willcox. He earned his B.M. in Music Education from Central Washington University.
Originally from Seattle, Owen performed and recorded with Battlestar Kalakala, the Jazz Police, the Braxmatics, and Tinkham Road. After moving to Portland in 2022, he began focusing on original compositions and band leadership. His debut album One-Way Passage: Live at Blue Butler Studios is set for release next year and features his original works alongside top jazz musicians.
Owen has led clinics and workshops across the Pacific Northwest and maintains a private studio for saxophone, clarinet, and flute. His students have performed in local contests and toured Europe with the Washington Ambassadors of Music.

Emma Heyn
Emma Heyn is a passionate and engaging music educator in her fifth year of teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Music, and recently earned her Master’s Degree in Music Education.
Emma brings experience from K–12 general music classrooms and has been teaching private music lessons since college. She specializes in helping students build a strong foundation in music fundamentals, with a focus on creating joyful and personalized learning experiences for each student.
Outside of the classroom, Emma enjoys writing and arranging her own music, performing on various instruments, and connecting with learners of all ages. Her goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music and the valuable skills it brings—discipline, creativity, and confidence.
Emma welcomes students of all ages and ability levels and is available for both virtual and in-person lessons.

Marcus Hostetler
Marcus Hostetler is a dedicated band director and private lesson instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience in the Chicagoland area. Known for his supportive, energetic approach, Marcus specializes in working with both beginner and high school musicians, helping students develop strong fundamentals and a lifelong love for music.
He has extensive experience teaching private lessons online and in person, making high-quality music instruction accessible and engaging for students of all backgrounds and skill levels.
Outside of teaching, Marcus enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking, and exploring new pizza spots. He brings enthusiasm and encouragement to every lesson and looks forward to helping students achieve their musical goals.

Karina Verdette
Karina Verdette is a dynamic music educator, conductor, and performing artist. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Flute Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in December 2024.
During her studies, Karina presented multiple recitals—including two flute recitals, a joint voice recital, and a large chamber recital—and performed with ensembles like Concert Choir, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra. She is active in the Wisconsin music scene as a substitute musician for various orchestras, a member of the Fox Valley Flute Choir, and as a performer at weddings and events. Karina currently studies flute at the Wausau Conservatory with Dr. Jacob Roseman.
Karina has taught private lessons in flute, voice, and piano at several studios, and now runs her own private studio, Verdette Music, specializing in flute and voice. She also serves as a Solo and Ensemble judge each spring and currently teaches middle and high school choir and general music in Stevens Point, WI.
She holds certifications with NAfME, NFA, WMEA, and ACDA, reflecting her commitment to excellence in music education.
