Welcome! We're so excited you're here and ready to begin your musical journey. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, our team of experienced instructors are here to help you grow and succeed.

Choosing a Teacher and Registering at Directors Music Academy

Step One

Browse our Teacher Bios to learn more about each of our talented instructors. Find the Teacher that best fits your instrument, goals, and learning style. We offer instruction for the following instruments: Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Strings, Voice, Piano, and Guitar/Ukulele. Lessons are $35/half hour and $70/hour.

Step Two

Once you know who you'd like to work with, fill out our short Student Registration Form

Step Three

Schedule Your First Lesson! After submitting your form, we'll be in touch within 48-72 hours to:

Confirm your teacher and lesson day/time
Confirm the platform for your lesson (Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, etc.)
Answer any questions you have.

We offer flexible scheduling and will work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.

Step Four

Before your first lesson:

Email your teacher a PDF or pictures of any music you are working on.
Set up an area for you to have your lesson.
Test your technology to make sure it works.

No fancy equipment is needed and a phone, iPad, or computer will work great!

Step Five

You are officially part of the Directors Music Academy! You'll also get access to your My Music Staff portal where you can manage scheduling, payments, lesson notes, and practice assignments.
